An ISEAL-compliant certification for the responsible sourcing of raw materials used in fishmeal and fish oil production. Version 2.0 came into effect in 2019 and incorporates sustainability indicators for the species used, based on a mixed-fisheries assessment approach.
This certification plays a key role in the salmon industry value chain, as GSI criteria recognize the use of sustainably sourced species as an important pathway toward achieving ASC-certified salmon.
