Extractive fishing consists of capturing marine resources from their natural environment, under regulations and quotas defined to protect the availability of species. Aquaculture, on the other hand, refers to the controlled farming of aquatic species, such as salmon, in specially managed centers. Both activities are key to producing seafood responsibly.
