En la Cresta de la Ola is the name of this poetry book that compiled the creations of 250 inhabitants, including children and adults, from that city.

Talcahuano, November 2016: Poet from the capital city Lidia Mansilla Valenzuela described her recent publication, En la Cresta de la Ola, as a gift to Talcahuano, which she presented last Tuesday before a hundred people at the Municipal Library of the city.

The work compiles 250 poems written by children and older adults, as well as by established poets, including the author herself, from the municipality of Talcahuano, which was created to pay tribute to the port on its anniversary.

This Anthology is the 14th book by this creator who, on this occasion, offered the pages of her work to several of the students of the literary workshops she directs in the city, among them, children whose works were selected in a contest organized by the author.

To materialize her book, she had the support of the company Blumar, which collaborated in the printing of the publication. Raúl Hermosilla, Head of Human Resources of the company, stated that the company recognized in this way the trajectory of Lidia Mansilla, who during her career has brought to life 13 other publications and has worked to promote literature in the municipality.

He also highlighted that Blumar has demonstrated its commitment to the culture of Talcahuano, through its support of the Municipal Youth Orchestra, with which they have offered three free classical music concerts to the community, to which two more will be added that will take place before the end of 2016.

Lidia Mansilla is a member of the Society of Writers of Chile and since 1999 has served as a monitor of literary workshops for children, women and older adults in Talcahuano, whose municipality distinguished her last year with the Municipal Prize for Arts and Letters.
