Accompanied by the SEREMI of Economy, Natalia Easton and by the zonal director of Subpesca, Paulina Barraza, the Undersecretary of Fisheries and Aquaculture, Alicia Gallardo, visited the Entrevientos plant.

The tour began with a presentation that included data such as processing capacity, the types of products that are manufactured and the challenges of this company made up of Blumar and Multiexport.

Then, the authorities took a tour of the facilities, where they were able to observe the cutting-edge technology used by this processing plant, and share and converse with the workers of this company that has been operating for nearly a year, generating around 500 quality jobs for Magallanes.

At the end, Undersecretary Alicia Gallardo commented: “I am very happy to have visited the plant and to have shared with the workers who are in charge of processing the salmon. For us, this type of initiatives is very important, as they contribute to the Magallanes Region with a very high-quality product, which has also meant a process shared with the communities, and with a very good technical level. I leave very happy and especially with the participation of women, who are very important in the operation of this processing plant”.

Meanwhile, the executive president of Entrevientos, Andrés Lyon, stated: “it was a visit that was expected for a long time. We need the authorities to understand the interest of the industry in investing and continuing to create value in the Region and we also need their support and they are fundamental for the development of Entrevientos.
