The pride of producing in the south: Salmones Blumar Magallanes receives the 2026 Regional Company Seal

The award, presented in Punta Arenas, recognizes organizations that promote purposeful growth, local employment, and a genuine commitment to the region’s inhabitants.

Punta Arenas, June 10, 2026. Patagonia’s dynamism is driven not only by tourism but also by its local productive activities. At a ceremony held at the Southern Port Authority (EPA Austral), Salmones Blumar Magallanes was awarded the 2026 Regional Company Seal, a distinction now in its third year that recognizes organizations that have become part of the region’s history and social fabric.

This recognition stems from a public-private partnership—comprised of CPC Magallanes, the Regional Government, the Regional Presidential Delegation (through the Regional Ministry of Economy), and the Magallanes and Chilean Antarctic Development Corporation (Cormag)—and seeks to incentivize companies whose value chain generates tangible benefits in the region, based on three key principles: growth with a regional purpose, diversification and collaboration for development, and a positive impact on people.

“We are very proud of this distinction. For us, it is very important to continue contributing to the region’s development, to employment, to investment, focusing on suppliers and community development,” stated Pablo Solís, Regional Manager of Salmon at Blumar.

Blumar’s operations in the region are located not only in Punta Arenas, but also in municipalities such as Río Verde and Última Esperanza. This initiative is part of a collective effort, where the seven companies recognized with the seal this year generate approximately 1,200 jobs in Magallanes.

For Blumar, “this milestone adds to others that also allow us to connect with the community, such as Mercado Blumar, the agreement with Junaeb through which we reach dozens of educational establishments in the region, among others,” Solís noted.

The meeting concluded with the authorities urging them to use this seal as an inspiration for local businesses to demonstrate that in Magallanes it is possible to grow, endure over time, and build a sustainable future with a strong regional identity.

At the consolidated level, the company reported increases in revenue, pre-fair value adjustment EBITDA, and net income during the second quarter and first half of 2026, driven primarily by the fishing segment and the recognition of U.S. tariff refunds in the salmon segment. On a year-to-date basis, the aquaculture segment remained below the results recorded in the first half of 2025, although it showed a recovery during the second quarter.
