Seafood Expo Global: Blumar participated in the world’s most important seafood products fair

Industry & Global Standards

– The company had its own stand at the event held in Barcelona, showcasing its work in the Fishing and Salmon segments.

The world’s most relevant and diverse seafood products fair, Seafood Expo Global/Seafood Processing Global, once again counted on Blumar’s participation, which showcased its innovations in its Fishing and Aquaculture segments.

Over three days, the fair —held at Gran Vía Fira in Barcelona— received more than 35,000 visitors, across an area of more than 51,000 net m², where 2,187 companies from 87 countries exhibited.

“The fair once again constituted a showcase for connecting with current and potential clients, sharing Blumar’s products in their different formats and demonstrating the company’s work in both segments,” said the company’s Salmon commercial manager, Daniel Montoya.

Likewise, Fishing commercial manager, Felipe Serpell, valued that “undoubtedly, this is one of the most important instances of the year for Blumar, where we can showcase our advances and new projects in both segments. We are very pleased to, once again, be part of this instance and display our products in our own stand, for the third consecutive year”.

At Blumar’s stand, jack mackerel stood out as one of the great surprises, both for its versatility and quality. Visitors also centered their interest on antibiotic-free salmon from Laguna Blanca.

“None of this would be possible without the commitment of our teams that, once again, demonstrated their professionalism and closeness to build long-term relationships. We are very grateful to those who visited us at the stand and to those who trust, day after day, in our work,” Montoya stated.

At the consolidated level, the company reported increases in revenue, pre-fair value adjustment EBITDA, and net income during the second quarter and first half of 2026, driven primarily by the fishing segment and the recognition of U.S. tariff refunds in the salmon segment. On a year-to-date basis, the aquaculture segment remained below the results recorded in the first half of 2025, although it showed a recovery during the second quarter.
