Continuing with our commitment to keep public opinion and the media properly informed regarding the sinking of our Caicura center following a severe storm, we share with you our eighth communication:

1. The company continues to make all its efforts, both human and technical, to address this accident with the greatest diligence possible and thus offer serious, environmentally responsible solutions that benefit the communities, and backed by professionals from different fields. To this end, we maintain a deployment of more than 50 people in the area supported by anchor ships (2); sonar equipment (4); high-tech ROV submarine robots (2); and experts from four companies with extensive experience in marine seabed prospecting.
2. Although weather conditions have not been adequate, which has hindered prospecting and search tasks, to date we have identified 12 to 14 sunken cages at 295 meters depth. And thanks to the technology we are using, we have spotted on the seabed what we believe could be the remaining cages, information that we hope to confirm in the coming days.
3. Likewise, with the information we are gathering with the ROV robots and their multibeam probes, in the coming days we should have ready—weather permitting—a georeferenced map of all cages located to date, which we will share with the authorities.
4. During today we will continue working in the field on different fronts: conducting seabed prospecting work; collecting fish recaptured by artisanal fishermen (25,505 Atlantic salmon by yesterday afternoon); removing debris from the damaged center from the area. Likewise, in the overflight conducted last Friday no salmon were observed on the coast and we have already added drones to reinforce this task.
5. Once we have the georeferenced map and all images of the sunken cages, we will be able to begin work to technically quantify the number of salmon that would have escaped, a figure that as we have mentioned, we estimate is less than the 875 thousand salmon that were in the sunken center during the storm.
6. Finally, we communicate that when the inspection we are conducting in the sinking area is completed, we will prepare a detailed report of the work carried out. This, with the aim of making our actions transparent and keeping local authorities properly informed.
