– During the activity, which was part of a series of visits that the public service is conducting to companies in the Biobío Region, challenges related to sustainable management were addressed. 

Talcahuano, May 25, 2022. The company Blumar received a visit from ProChile at the company’s administrative offices in Talcahuano, with the objective of learning about the company’s sustainability strategy and discussing the challenges they face for the future in terms of sustainable management.

At the meeting, ProChile’s Head of Sustainability, Catalina Cuevas, participated; and from Blumar, Sustainability Sub-Manager, Felipe Hormazábal, Head of ESG Management and Climate Change, Estefanía Humud, and Marketing Manager, Felipe Fuentes. 

“Blumar has stood out for its sustainability practices, where we have a sustainable management self-diagnostic tool and where they obtained the highest score. This means they have advanced management in this area and, for this reason, we wanted to come and see how this materializes, what their long-term vision is, and how we can strengthen ties to continue promoting it”, said ProChile’s Head of Sustainability, Catalina Cuevas.

For his part, Blumar’s Sustainability Sub-Manager, Felipe Hormazábal, indicated that “we are very pleased with ProChile’s visit, which allows us to discover new ways to innovate in this area and continue consolidating the path we began to travel as a company a few years ago, where we placed sustainability at the center of our business strategy. Today, we are advancing on our environmental, social and economic commitments, in order to continuously improve our activities”.

This meeting is part of a series of visits that the public service is making to the Biobío Region, in order to disseminate the initiatives it is carrying out and the sustainability roadmap for 2030.
