– Within the framework of the traditional ceremony for awarding this benefit, academic merit was recognized in children and adolescents pursuing basic, secondary, and university education. 

Talcahuano, July 3, 2023. Blumar, the fishing and salmon company, once again rewarded the efforts of 41 students who are children of company collaborators, as part of the 2023 Scholarships distribution. The students were recognized for their academic performance and are currently studying from basic education through university level.

The event, held in the company auditorium in Talcahuano, was attended by complete families, who were able to accompany the students and celebrate their achievement.

Blumar’s Human Resources Manager, Raúl Hermosilla, expressed that “these initiatives are very gratifying for us, because we promote education and we see the children of our collaborators, who have made an effort throughout the year to receive this recognition. Behind these young people and their effort, there are also families who accompany them on this beautiful path”.

One of the winning students is Luciana, who is in seventh grade and earned the scholarship with an average of 6.9. “I am very happy with myself, because I worked hard to be here, and I will continue to do so to achieve my goals,” she stated.

For his part, Maximiliano Soto, an operator at the Frozen Jack Mackerel plant in San Vicente and father of one of the awarded students, highlighted that “for me it is tremendous pride to see how my daughter can go one step further than her parents. The company has always recognized not only us as workers, but also our families, takes all of us into account and that makes us feel that we truly matter”.
