Thanks to a collaboration between Blumar and DeliBest Chile, the Junaeb concessionaire, the company began a few months ago to deliver salmon portions to the children of the Bernardo de Bruyne School in Río Verde. Now, the alliance will also benefit the students of the Dellamira Rebeca Aguilar School in Punta Arenas, through the meal plans of the Junaeb feeding program.

“We are very pleased to incorporate a second school in the Magallanes region with this protein-rich resource such as salmon. Blumar seeks to bring the product closer to its territories and the best way to do this is through schools, where children can consume an excellent quality product. This important milestone is possible thanks to the territorial alliances we have established as Blumar, commented Francisca López, head of Communities at Blumar.

For his part, the head of Administration of Blumar Magallanes Salmon, Matías Benavides, stated that “we are very happy to provide this resource to a school that is very close to our new home in the region, the Blumar Magallanes Plant, which was recently inaugurated. This milestone reaffirms our commitment to being a fundamental pillar in children’s nutrition, through a good food such as salmon”.

In that regard, the Technical Head of the UTP of the school, Karina Díaz, expressed that “it is a very important milestone that children can access, through the school, a balanced diet, which is also delicious. We know how delicious and nutritious salmon is, and that it is also a local resource, although it is not always easily accessible to everyone”.

Finally, the Technical Control analyst of DeliBest Contract, María José Almonacid, stated that “we are very grateful for this alliance, which was achieved after several months of work between Blumar and Merkén, a subsidiary of DeliBest, with the support of regional Junaeb from the start. This is in direct benefit of the children”.
