In a milestone for inclusive health in Puerto Aysén, two new dental boxes were inaugurated designed to serve children with disabilities, thanks to a joint effort by the company Blumar, San Sebastián University and the Cesfam of Puerto Aysén, which came together in a public-private initiative that seeks to support community development through more accessible healthcare.
Blumar’s participation was relevant in the management that made concrete the donation of two modern inclusive dental chairs by San Sebastián University, as well as financing improvements to the infrastructure of the boxes. During the inauguration ceremony, Blumar’s Communities Manager in Aysén, Carolina Vera, expressed that “as a company we are committed to contributing to the well-being of the communities where we are present.
This project reflects how joint work can transform spaces and improve the quality of life of those who live in this municipality. We are proud to be part of this important advancement”.
The director of Cesfam, Joaquín Gutiérrez Hurtado, recognized the role of different organizations and thanked private support for the development of the initiative. “We worked together on the improvement of the box in the facility, where new furniture was installed, beautiful murals were painted so that children have better access to dental health.
We are very happy about all the work done. This gives us the opportunity to continue working together and achieve great things for the people of Puerto Aysén”, he pointed out.
For her part, the municipal councilor, Tatiana Villarroel, highlighted the relevance of these alliances and commented that “public-private collaboration is essential to address the difficulties inherent to a municipality as dispersed as ours. This inclusive box responds to an urgent need of our neighbors”.
The acting director of Primary Care of the Aysén Health Service, Sandra Paredes Arévalo, highlighted the characteristics of the new space. “We are very happy to see how this joint initiative materializes in a beautiful and functional space for the children of Aysén”, she indicated.
The inauguration of these inclusive dental boxes not only improves access to oral health in Puerto Aysén, but also demonstrates the positive impact that collaboration between public and private sectors and academia can have for the benefit of the most isolated communities in the country.
