– The company entered the S&P Global ranking after evaluating more than 9,200 firms worldwide. In the food category, it ranks among the 3 Chilean companies selected.
In its twenty-second edition, S&P Global’s Sustainability Yearbook recognized companies with the best sustainability performance globally, after evaluating more than 9,200 companies from different industries. On this occasion, and for the second consecutive time, Blumar was one of the 848 firms included in the yearbook that brings together organizations with the highest ESG standards internationally across 59 industrial sectors.
The company’s inclusion was determined through the Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA), a technical evaluation that measures company performance by comparing them with their global peers. To be part of this yearbook, firms must meet the requirement of being in the top 15% of their industry and maintain a score difference of less than 30% compared to the highest-rated company in the sector.
In the 2026 edition, 30 companies from the food industry worldwide were recognized, of which only 3 are Chilean companies, including Blumar. In this year’s evaluation process, Blumar obtained a score of 72/100 –as of February 11, 2026–.
“This recognition once again places our sustainability performance at a demanding international standard, comparing ourselves with thousands of companies globally. It is a concrete signal that we are on the right path, but it also reinforces our responsibility to continue strengthening our practices and advancing in continuous improvement that positively impacts the environment and the business,” said Blumar’s Sustainability Submanager, Felipe Hormazábal.
According to the report, these results position the company in the 96th percentile of the global food industry, consolidating itself among the companies with the best sector performance. At the local level, it also appears as one of the few Chilean companies in the industry that are part of this ranking.
For her part, Blumar’s ESG Management and Climate Change Manager, Estefanía Humud, highlighted that “the CSA has become a key tool to strengthen our ESG management, since it allows us to objectively measure our progress, identify gaps and ensure that our sustainability strategy is aligned with business strategy, with clear, measurable goals and real impact. Therefore, Blumar’s inclusion in this edition reflects the company’s cross-cutting work on the matter, as well as the commitment of the different teams to integrate sustainability as a strategic axis of their development”.
