The fishing and salmon farming company Blumar donated 15 tablets to La Aguada School in Corral, with the purpose of solving problems for some of its teachers and students who did not have devices to participate in online classes due to health conditions.

The director of the school, María Ávila Sandoval, thanked the delivery of the devices and assured that “15 tablets that will be very well used in the teaching-learning process of students”. The equipment will reach those students at the school who still do not have this resource, which has been provided as a benefit by the DAE to students of municipalized education in the commune.

The mayor of Corral, Gastón Pérez, pointed out that this donation made by Blumar is another action that the company has taken within the framework of the relationship it maintains with the commune, where it has been able to help both the community and its residents.

Furthermore, he recognized that the company has always been willing to listen to the community and, above all, to engage with it, supporting it in those needs and requirements that have arisen over time. “And this is another example of that willingness,” he emphasized.

The director of the Education Department of the Municipality of Corral, Elizabeth Fuentes, mentioned that at the commune level there has been an effort to improve and provide more support for the connectivity of students and teachers. In that regard, this donation of tablets helps strengthen and modernize the online class system.

“It was necessary to provide our teaching staff with greater tools, who have made the greatest effort, the most energy and I believe the best will also in the development of the educational process, therefore, putting this technology at the disposal of our teachers will help them achieve better results for our children,” commented the Education director.

For his part, the administrator of the Blumar Plant in Corral, Carlos Jainaga, highlighted the importance of the relationship between the company and La Aguada School, affirming that “during the pandemic we sought ways to allocate the resources we had towards the school, because we knew that these technological elements were a very important need for them”.
