An important collaboration agreement was signed by Brumar with the Social Solidarity and Investment Fund, Fosis. The agreement will benefit the residents of the hills Belleza, Cordillera, Tacna and Milagros, in the municipality of Corral.
The agreement was signed between the regional director of Fosis, Marcela Mitre, and the administrator of the Blumar Corral Plant, Carlos Jainaga, and aims to establish a framework of cooperation between both institutions, achieving effective collaboration, making visible potential articulation spaces and implementing actions in a coordinated manner.
Following the signing of the agreement, regional director Marcela Mitre stated that this is the celebration of a first public-private agreement, which works on three initiatives prioritized by the community of the hills of Corral. “This is work that has been done through the Local Action program, where the community prioritized three initiatives. We as Fosis, together with the municipality were able to implement the first one, the installation of railings on the hills and the Blumar company has committed to the other two, which are clean points and information panels. It is a collaborative effort, a joint public and private effort with which we can advance in solving issues of vulnerability and poverty”, said Marcela Mitre, regional director Fosis.
For his part, the administrator of the Blumar Corral plant, Carlos Jainaga, stated that activities such as these respond to the line of work strongly committed to sustainability that the company has been implementing for some time now. “It seemed appropriate to us to contribute to work initiated by Fosis and for the benefit of the community. We have been in the municipality for twenty years and have provided stable employment to the people of Corral and hope to continue doing so, as well as contributing to the community”.
The agreement contributes to creating a direct link between the local community, public institutions and the Blumar company, so that in a collaborative way, they can continue implementing projects and initiatives that directly benefit the Corral community.
