Boston, March 13, 2023. Blumar, the fishing and salmon farming company, will participate again in the Seafood Expo North America 2023, which will take place in Boston from March 12 to 14. During this event, the company will present, through the joint venture BluGlacier, the super premium Patagonian salmon Laguna Blanca, a high-quality product raised without the use of antibiotics and available in markets such as the United States, Europe, and Asia.

Currently, the United States is the most relevant market for Chilean salmon farming, which received 251,131 tons of salmon and trout valued at US$ 2,845 million. For this reason, Blumar seeks to take advantage of the trend by offering a high-quality product to consumers, which aligns with the demands they have made.

Blumar’s General Manager, Gerardo Balbontín, highlighted that “being able to participate in a pavilion at this fair makes us very proud. This fair is one of the main ones worldwide, considering that this market is the primary one where Chilean salmon arrives. Laguna Blanca represents the future of salmon farming, where we have worked hand in hand with responsible aquaculture practices”.

For his part, Blumar’s Commercial Manager, Daniel Montoya, noted that “for years we have sought to be active players in the US market, which is in constant growth and where we want to present our first-quality salmon Laguna Blanca. As a company, we have worked hard on our path to sustainability of our products, which stand out for their excellence and which will undoubtedly catch the attention of local consumers”.

“We invite all fair attendees to visit booth 105 to learn more about us and the work we have done over the past years, as well as to build new relationships and expand our presence in the international and US market,” the executive concluded.
