With the goal of bringing young people closer to the world of salmon farming and opening new development opportunities in the municipality, Blumar signed a collaboration agreement with the Bicentennial People Help People High School in Pilmaiquén, located in the municipality of Puyehue, Los Lagos Region.

The program includes the execution of internships and visits to facilities that will allow students to learn firsthand about aquaculture industry processes. It also includes the monthly delivery of salmon so that students in the Gastronomy specialty can develop their learning with quality raw materials. The initiative seeks not only to generate knowledge, but also to provide tools for young people to project their future in a sector that values local talent.

“We invite students, teachers, and everyone present here today to learn how we work, how we care for the Pilmaiquén River, and how we seek to make our fish farming a responsible development model,” said the executive.

With this alliance, Blumar and People Help People High School mark the beginning of joint work that seeks to strengthen technical-professional education and contribute to the social and economic development of Puyehue. The signing of this agreement is part of the commemoration of Technical Professional Education Month, highlighting the value of these instances to open opportunities for young people in the municipality.

“As a technical-professional school, it is important for us to develop our students, not only in the technical area, but so they can learn about different places in Chile and experience various work experiences. In that sense, Blumar gives us great support with this agreement, allowing students to carry out internships at the company, develop their autonomy, and enjoy this experience, which is the ultimate goal of professional internships,” said the director of People Help People High School in Pilmaiquén, Francisco Manqui Hernández.
