As part of the inspections conducted by the Seremi de Salud del Biobío at fishing plants in the region, it reported that, following the inspection carried out at Blumar’s plant in San Vicente, dedicated to the process of fish meal and fish oil, the authority verified full compliance with current regulations established in Supreme Decree 144/61 of MINSAL.
Following the inspection, the company commented on the importance of the inspections and reported that Blumar had complied with the inspection, since it was adequately mitigating odor effects in its production and this allowed it to comply adequately with the inspection, without recording any violations in 2024″, stated the authority in a press release.
During the inspection, the company presented its atmospheric emissions treatment technology, implemented to mitigate odor effects during the production process. These measures have resulted in a reduction of over 90% of emissions, thanks to an investment of approximately 3 million dollars in advanced systems, aligning with our commitment to promote sustainable and environmentally responsible operations and with the community.
