Blumar sponsors sustainable fair with focus on circular economy

Sustainability

Under a structure made from 300 unused pallets, the first version of FET, Transformer Entrepreneurship Fair, was held—a space created with the equivalent of 7.5 tons of recycled materials. The fair, which promotes circular economy in the Biobío region, was organized by the CO4 Community with support from public and private sector companies.

Blumar was one of the private companies invited to participate in the event, where Felipe Hormazabal, Blumar’s Sustainability Sub-manager, attended stating “One of our fundamental pillars in our sustainability strategy is environmental care, which is why as a company it makes great sense for us to participate in these innovative projects where we give new life to materials, helping local entrepreneurs expand and form alliances”.

During the three days of the fair, more than 90 entrepreneurs rotated through the different stands. Regarding this, Romina Avilán, founder of CO4, commented “FET is an invitation to break away from already-known reference frameworks and create a new concept, where we value respect for the environment and the appreciation of an industry formed by people; we invite everyone to visit our local entrepreneurs”.

The Transformer Entrepreneurship Fair took place on December 21 and 23 at Plaza Tribunales in Concepción.

At the consolidated level, the company reported increases in revenue, pre-fair value adjustment EBITDA, and net income during the second quarter and first half of 2026, driven primarily by the fishing segment and the recognition of U.S. tariff refunds in the salmon segment. On a year-to-date basis, the aquaculture segment remained below the results recorded in the first half of 2025, although it showed a recovery during the second quarter.
