Barcelona, April 25, 2023. The fishing and salmon company Blumar will be present once again at the 29th edition of Seafood Expo Global/Seafood Processing Global in Barcelona, which will be the largest edition in history according to the organizers, with more than 49,000 m² of exhibition space for seafood production and supply companies.  The event will feature the participation of 2,078 exhibitor companies from 87 countries.

On this occasion, for the first time Blumar set up its own brand stand of 56 square meters and traveled with a delegation of company executives, with the aim of being able to renew and generate new ties with potential clients and showcase its products for the European market, which is becoming increasingly relevant for both areas of the company.

Blumar’s general manager, Gerardo Balbontín, highlighted that “we wanted to be present again at this important fair, to show the thousands of attendees at this event the way we cultivate, fish and process our food that travels from the southern seas to European tables with a high standard of sustainability and quality”.

For his part, the commercial manager of Salmones Blumar, Daniel Montoya, indicated that “Europe is a major consumer of seafood products and we have a quality offering aligned with the expectations of consumers on this continent, which are based on international certifications of responsible aquaculture such as ASC and BAP”.

“Europe has been a market in which we have grown significantly in recent years and where we project to continue being present in the long term. We currently have offices in Spain and are reaching markets such as Belgium, France and Portugal, and Eastern Europe with jack mackerel. We are very pleased to be present and for fair attendees to get to know Blumar”, pointed out the company’s fishing sales manager, Marcelo Otero.
