• The event brought together more than 6 thousand participants, who were supported by the salmon farming company with the distribution of t-shirts and backpacks. 

            Punta Arenas, July 8, 2023. The fishing and salmon farming company Blumar participated again in the “Plunge 2023”, a traditional winter event in Magallanes that brought together more than 6 thousand people from different parts of the country in the region.

                According to the organization, in addition to the swimmers, more than 9 thousand people were present on the Punta Arenas waterfront to support those who immersed themselves in the cold waters of the Strait, who were also able to enjoy the singer Forest at the end of the event, a national artist and one of the best exponents of the urban genre in the country.

           “We are happy, because we saw a record number of people at a celebration for our entire city. Therefore, I want to thank Blumar, because we have these beautiful t-shirts that were financed by the company. We must remember that this is an activity that began timidly 10 years ago, and today it has become a national festival, with a very significant number of tourists, more than 2,000 registered people out of 6,000 were from outside Punta Arenas, which is very important for our city. The invitation is already to think about Plunge 2024 where we believe we will break this record, and we hope to continue counting on the company’s support”, said the mayor of Punta Arenas, Claudio Radonich.

           In this version, Blumar supported with six thousand kits composed of t-shirts and backpacks, in addition to distributing coffees for the swimmers and discount coupons at the Blumar Market. This is part of the initiatives that the company has carried out in Magallanes, in order to strengthen its territorial relationship with local communities.

                The production submanager of Blumar Salmones Magallanes, Pablo Solís, highlighted that “it has been very exciting to be able to contribute again to this relevant event for our region, which brings together thousands of people not only from here, but also from other parts of the country. For Blumar it is very important to be part of the territories where we work, so we are always available to support these events that involve the entire community”.
