Talcahuano, July 3, 2023. Within the framework of the company’s open doors program called “Blumar Onboard”, a visit was held by the senator from the Eighth Region, Enrique Van Rysselberghe, who was able to visit the High Sea Fishing Vessel “Don Edmundo” together with executives and unions of the company, who toured the vessel’s facilities and reported on the various advances that Blumar has achieved in economic, environmental and social matters.
The parliamentarian, who was visiting an industrial vessel for the first time, highlighted the importance that the company has for generating good relationships in the region. “It is noteworthy the capacity that Blumar has had to generate green production, a production in harmony with environmental care, and also the excellent relationship it has with its workers, union members and workers’ representatives in general, who are very satisfied with the treatment and conditions under which they are being employed, and that is very important”, he stated.
For his part, the company’s Human Resources Manager, Raúl Hermosilla, accompanied the official on his tour and commented that “for us our open door policy is of utmost importance and we are committed to showing from within how we operate, our operational and technological advances, both in the fishing and aquaculture sectors. We seek to be transparent through facts and actions that we want to share with authorities and communities”.
“Blumar Onboard” is an initiative that aims to share with the authorities located in the localities where Blumar’s production is concentrated, from the vessels, processing plants, its facilities and new technologies to the human team behind the company’s work, with the purpose of making transparent and informing about the different processes of the company.
