The BAP 4 star rating guarantees consumers that Blumar salmon is cultivated and processed according to the highest sustainability standards offered by the industry.

Blumar reported that it recently achieved the highest world certification for Good Aquaculture Practices (GAP), obtaining the 4 star rating awarded by the Global Aquaculture Alliance (GAA) for the entirety of its salmon production cycle.

In this way, the BAP 4 star certification for 100% of its salmon production, “is a recognition of the company’s strong commitment to the development of sustainable aquaculture practices, the high quality of its products and adequate management of natural resources,” according to the company’s general manager, Gerardo Balbontín “This achievement is also the result of the support and recognition of our customers in the United States, Europe and around the world, of the value they give to sustainable aquaculture certification. In this regard, Blumar commits to continuing to improve sustainability in its products and processes through continuous work with the Global Salmon Initiatives (GSI),” he emphasized.
