• The project accepts waste paper and cardboard, plastic bottles and aluminum cans, has a total capacity of one ton and certifies the treatment of waste ensuring proper final disposal. 

                The fishing company Blumar inaugurated its second clean point, which is located in Coronel, so that the communities in the area can manage their waste and promote environmental care.

                The clean point, located on Prat Street 60, next to its plant in the municipality, accepts waste paper, cardboard, plastic bottles and aluminum cans, has a total capacity of one ton and certifies the treatment of waste ensuring proper final disposal.

                “We are very happy and very proud to have found this good neighbor that is Blumar. A company that has had, from our point of view, good acceptance regarding the proposal to be part of the tripartite roundtable of the fishing sector in the municipality of Coronel”, commented Coronel’s municipal administrator, Javier Valencia.

For his part, Blumar’s Fishing Operations Manager, José Ocares, highlighted that “this type of initiative is in line with what Blumar is today. We want the company to be inserted in the communities and what better way than in a sustainable manner, promoting recycling among neighbors and collaborators. These projects are what motivate us to continue being a contribution in the territories where we work, supporting the municipality and its inhabitants”.

Additionally, the president of the neighborhood association of Villa Alegre, María Villegas, highlighted that “the fact that today we have a clean point will also allow us to have a collection point in our sector and be able to come here to leave all this type of waste that sometimes there is nowhere to throw, and that we know the environmental damage that is caused”.
