We spoke with Iván Pérez, PhD in Oceanography from the University of Concepción and professor and researcher at the i-mar Center at the University of Los Lagos, to gain a deeper understanding of how this climate system affects the industry.
At the consolidated level, the company reported increases in revenue, pre-fair value adjustment EBITDA, and net income during the second quarter and first half of 2026, driven primarily by the fishing segment and the recognition of U.S. tariff refunds in the salmon segment. On a year-to-date basis, the aquaculture segment remained below the results recorded in the first half of 2025, although it showed a recovery during the second quarter.
Through its Innovation and Development Management team, the company obtained Corfo’s approval for its first two projects under this incentive framework, with the resulting returns to be reinvested in its own operations.
