Blumar deploys intensive international agenda in the Americas, Europe, Asia and Africa

– In an effort to continue growing, the Chilean company shared spaces with different stakeholders in Brazil, South Africa and China. Talcahuano, October 30, 2023. Blumar, a Chilean fishing and salmon farming company, has deployed an intensive agenda in different countries and continents to continue growing in the markets where it has a presence. Thus, for example, at the beginning of this month it participated in the new edition of the International Frozen Seafood Products Fair in Vigo, Spain. Meanwhile, last week, representatives of the national company traveled to Sao Paulo, Brazil, to participate in the second version of Seafood Show Latin America, the international fish marketing and technology fair. Days before, Blumar Asia, which is based in Shanghai, China, participated in the China Fisheries Seafood Expo. Within the framework of that instance, the company was part of the China Seafood Summit 2023, an event organized by Global Seafood Alliance and other companies and held in Qingdao. Likewise, Blumar attended the Annual Conference of IFFO – The Marine Ingredients Organisation. The event, held in Cape Town, South Africa, is the most relevant in the fish meal and oil sector, and aims to discuss the role of seafood products in the sustainable future of the industry. The commercial manager of Blumar Salmon, Daniel Montoya, who participated in the fairs held in Vigo and Qingdao, noted that “in these high-attendance events we were able to share with stakeholders the growth of Chilean salmon in different markets, along with the opportunities and challenges projected in the markets of Brazil, South Africa and China for 2024”. “These instances are great opportunities to offer salmon products with superior sustainability credentials and show the market our advances in new developments and in our sustainability strategy,” said Montoya, who pointed out that “Chilean salmon is highly valued in international markets for its quality standards and high nutritional content. For this reason, in these instances we were able to generate new business opportunities and understand how the industry is functioning at a global level”. For his part, Blumar’s Fishing Sales Manager, Marcelo Otero, who also participated in the instances, stated that “we have seen growing interest in seafood products and these occasions are fundamental, because they allow us to create new business opportunities, forge links with our clients and understand where the industry stands at a global level. These instances are a good showcase for the rest of the world”.
