The Aysén Region experienced a special day of encounter between social leaders, authorities and representatives of the salmon farming sector, where the importance of strengthening ties and working collaboratively to promote community development was highlighted.

In this context, Blumar reaffirmed its commitment to communities and regional development, participating actively through representatives such as its legal manager, Juan Pablo Oviedo; the Sustainability submanager, Felipe Hormazábal; the Communities manager, Francisca López; the HR manager in Aysén Waleska Barrientos and the president of the salmon plant union, Paola Sanhueza.

The activity was an opportunity to recognize the effort and dedication of those who lead social organizations in the region, highlighting their ability to mobilize their communities, promote dialogue and generate joint solutions to the challenges facing the territory.

“Social leaders are fundamental pieces for the advancement of community organization. From their neighborhoods and different spaces for participation, they deliver key work that directly impacts the well-being of their communities and organizations,” said Sustainability submanager, Felipe Hormazábal.

In line with the importance of incorporating the territory in the development of aquaculture, parallel to the event, a new session of the Salmon 2050 Plan was also held, accompanied by the same authorities, business associations and industries, in which the main challenges facing Chilean salmon farming were analyzed and actions were planned to consolidate sustainable and competitive development.
