For its commitment and work during the pandemic
Tuesday, September 14, 2021.- Reaffirming its commitment to the prevention and safety of its employees and contractors, Blumar Magallanes received the Covid 19 Seal, granted by the Chilean Safety Association to the administration office and its eight cultivation centers operating in the Region.
The recognition was presented by Andres Crisosto, Commercial Operations Manager of ACHS Magallanes, who highlighted: “For us it is very important to be present at this symbolic act, which reflects the work that has been done during all this pandemic time, in a company as leading as Blumar Magallanes in the aquaculture industry, at a regional level. A company that has such critical processes, that involves so many people in diverse operations and in different locations, that it has been able to comply in all its centers with these standards to meet Covid protocols, has been very important and we are very proud”.
During the certification process, ACHS supported the development of a plan to prevent risks of COVID 19 contagion, based on the standards of this Administrator of the Occupational Accident and Professional Diseases Act, which integrates the protocols of the Ministry of Health, and recommendations from safety and occupational health specialists of the branch in Magallanes.
“This work has not been easy for any company in our country, but this milestone that is obtaining the Covid Seal, what it does is reinforce our compliance with all the protocols established by the health authority. It is a reward for all the effort made during this year and a half, which has been exhausting, but with the conviction of caring for all people and also maintaining operational continuity in our productive area”, highlighted Marcelo Concha, Head of Safety and Occupational Health at Blumar Magallanes.
Meanwhile, for Carlos Muñoz, President of the Joint Committee of Blumar Magallanes, commented: “For us it is very important to receive this seal, since at the beginning of the pandemic it cost us a lot to adapt, especially in the centers, where we had infections and little by little we achieved the goal of reducing infections until reaching zero”.
Likewise, Ignacio Covacevich, Regional Manager of Blumar Magallanes Salmon explained: “For us this recognition is super important and super motivating as well, since Covid is a topic that posed a tremendous challenge for us, and that challenge thanks to teamwork, coordination, protocols, we believe we managed to overcome it quite well, and that an organization that manages the company’s safety comes and gives you a seal that guarantees that the work is on the right path, fills us with pride and strengthens the work we can continue doing moving forward”.
In this way, Blumar Magallanes strengthens its commitment to prevention, safety and care of its employees, which are fundamental to the company’s growth and development in the Region.
