The company recognized the children of its employees, reaffirming its commitment to education and development.
In an emotional ceremony, Blumar celebrated the presentation of the 2025 School Scholarships, recognizing the effort and dedication of 45 outstanding students. Of these, 18 are pursuing primary education, 15 secondary education, and 12 are studying at universities and technical-professional institutes. All obtained academic averages above 6.0, a reflection of the family commitment that the company seeks to value and promote.
During the ceremony, Blumar’s human resources manager, Raúl Hermosilla, highlighted the importance of this program, which has existed for 25 years. “We are very happy to celebrate more than 20 years of scholarship awards, which are given to the best students in primary, secondary, and higher education. We are proud to continue doing it every year, with an increasingly human and close approach to our employees”.
For the beneficiaries and their families, these scholarships mean much more than financial support. César Santos, the maintenance chief at salmon farms, who for the first time received this scholarship for his son, expressed his pride and valued the distinction. “I am super happy that the company creates this instance of recognition for the effort that children make and also for what parents do as a family. For them it is a super nice experience to come and see their parents’ work under these circumstances. It is super positive and motivating for them”.
Another employee, production planner and unloading operator, Leonardo Serón, stated: “my son asks me every year how the awards are going and I am very grateful to the company. It motivates my son a lot in his studies, so I am very grateful; very grateful for everything”.
The beneficiary students also expressed their gratitude. Darvin, one of the young people who received the scholarships, commented that “for two years I have been getting good grades, for me and for my family”. And about the event itself, he highlighted: “I liked that they brought a clown, we had a lot of fun”.
